Atlantic Canada Chapter
Construction & Demolition Materials
Certification Course Invitation
Colchester Waste–Resource Management Facility
Kemptown, NS November 15–18, 2011

|
Here’s your opportunity to be on the leading edge in dealing with the major challenge facing waste resource managers, general contractors seeking to improve on–site efficiencies or who are involved with LEED projects, regulators, and all those industry sectors, both public and private, who are mandated with reusing and diverting more C&D materials from final landfill disposal.

SWANA’s C&D Materials Certfication Course was recently updated in 2010 to deal wth emerging issues in deconstruction, markets for recovered materials, on–site management and other future industry trends. The Atlantic Canada Chapter hosted a full house when this Certification Training was last offered in 2004, and is anticipating the interest and demand to be particularly high this time as well. In Nova Scotia in particular, innovative C&D Materials management provides the key to achieving waste diversion goals by the target year of 2015.

BONUS SESSION: SWANA, in association with WRANS (Waste Resource Association of Nova Scotia), is planning a workshop/information session at the Colchester Facility on Monday afternoon, November 14, 2011, highlighting current trends in C&D materials management, innovative on–site diversion programs, materials markets and other related issues. This session will be free for attendees of the training program and will provide an excellent lead–in to the rest of the week!! Stay tuned for agenda updates!
